Bert Lochs plays a Van Laar B8 trumpet and a van Laar B2 flugel. A customized Curry 10.5C trumpet mouthpiece and a self designed piece on his flugelhorn. Both pieces share a sixties (Ratzenberger) Jettone rim.
Bert Lochs's tone still gets more refind and subtle. In his "where is the snow he reminds of Erik Vloeimans's playing, also soft and sweet. Lochs's compositions also clearly bear his own signature.
