Yes. My own experience is that the somewhat deeper flugelmpc's are harder to do some of the exercises on, but in the end I don't think that this is less effective. On the shallower trumpetmpc it is just easier to get the right sound.

Bert Lochs plays a Van Laar B8 trumpet and a van Laar B2 flugel. A customized Curry 10.5C trumpet mouthpiece and a self designed piece on his flugelhorn. Both pieces share a sixties (Ratzenberger) Jettone rim.
The velvety tones of Bert Lochs seem to refer to the Italian trumpet player Enrico Rava. Beautiful.
